New homes are coming to Collicello Street

A thirteen-year vision, a unanimous vote, and a neighborhood story worth telling.

Back in 2013, a developer named Dean Weaver drew up a master plan for a different kind of neighborhood on Collicello Street… smaller homes, connected streets, a mix of housing types, and a real community feel, all within the city itself. Dean passed away during COVID, and for a while the plan sat quiet.

It didn’t stay quiet. The Propst family, a respected local builder, picked up the vision… and this spring, Harrisonburg City Council approved the updated plan unanimously. The next phase focuses on single-family homes, with additional housing types expected down the road.
