Harrisonburg Market Snapshot — July 2026

Where our local market stands this month.

Detached homes ticked up 2% to a $399K median, and the first half of 2026 outsold the first half of 2025 across the board. But inventory is tight… just 189 active listings at the end of June, down from 234 a year ago, with well-priced homes going under contract in about 9 days.

The takeaway this month: price it correctly on day one. In a low-inventory market, homes priced well above the comparables don’t sell faster… they sit, and then they reduce. Read the full July report →
