About the homes in this community

The Forest Station townhomes built so far are similar in size and layout: three bedrooms, two and a half baths, roughly 1,350 to 1,400 square feet across two stories. Recently completed homes feature open-concept main floors — living, dining, and kitchen flow as one space — with white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, subway tile backsplash, stainless appliances, and luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout. Primary suite with walk-in closet and ensuite shower. Two additional bedrooms upstairs sharing a full bath with a tub. Half bath and laundry on the main level.

Gray vinyl siding, black shutters, stone-veneer water table, classic craftsman front door. Central AC. No HOA on homes built to date.

The setting

Grottoes is the quiet trade. You get the Shenandoah Valley, mountain views from the back of the property, a real small town, and a twenty-minute drive to JMU, the hospital, and everything urban about Harrisonburg. Buyers who land in this community usually tell us they wanted out of the subdivision feel without giving up convenience.
