The National Association of Realtors released a quarterly report stating that the national median sales price was $217,600 during the first quarter of 2016. This is a 6.3% increase over the first quarter in 2015.
In contrast, the median sales price in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County was $193,090 for the first quarter of 2016. This is an 8% increase over the first quarter in 2015.
Will local sales continue to get closer to the national averages? We will see.
